| Pilot Licence | The hirer is to ensure that any pilots who will be flying the aircraft have a minimum of a JAA/CAA PPL and valid medical. All licences and/or ratings required for the flight are to be carried for the duration of the rental and need to be valid/current. |
| Initial Pilot Check | A qualified pilot will explain all the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), which must be complied with at all times. A short check ride may also be required at the discretion of the JCOA ltd. This will be charged at standard rental rates. At the end of this check, all pilots will sign a document confirming that they have had this instruction and will comply with the SOPs. |
| Tech Log | The hirer is responsible for completing the aircraft Tech Log before and after each flight, with full details. |
| Check List | An approved Check List is to be used to carry out all pre-flight and in-flight checks. This should comply with the Pilots Operating Handbook. |
| Serviceability | The hirer is to be satisfied that the aircraft is serviceable for the proposed flight. The Tech Log will contain details of any outstanding defects and hours to run before the next scheduled maintenance. If in any doubt, contact us prior to the flight. |
| Rental Period | The rental rate will be applied from Brakes Off to Brakes On. Where the aircraft is away from base, a minimum charge of three hours per 24 hour period will apply. |
| Security | The hirer is responsible for the security of the aircraft from the time they are given the keys to the time that these are returned. This should include use of the chocks, cover and control locks at all times the aircraft is left unattended. |
| Payment | An invoice will be raised after the hire and is payable immediately. This is subject to VAT @ 17.5%. |
| Unavailability | No liability can be accepted if the aircraft becomes unavailable for reasons outside our control, such as unserviceability, before or during the rental period. It may be possible to locate other similar aircraft but a separate rental agreement with that owner will take precedent. |
| Aircraft Condition | The aircraft will be presented to you in a clean and tidy manner. It is expected that it will be returned in a similar condition. Any costs associated with cleaning etc are chargeable at cost. |
